Pascal Las was born in Paris, France.

His formal art education includes the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Apliqués and des Metiers d’Art and The Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs.


Pascal Las’s passion always led him to the Far East and the ancient art of lacquer and has incorporated this into his works of art in many different capacities; that which has brought him today to be renowned as the most formidable lacquer artist in the Western hemisphere.


Time wise, Pascal Las has spent the last 20 years applying his savoir-faire to the luxury industry, with prestigious clients such as Cartier, Chanel, Mont Blanc, Dunhill, Van Cleef & Arpel, Piaget, Chaumet, among many others.


However, his passion for contemporary art led him to collaborations with Roy Lichtenstein, Ed Ruscha, Larry Rivers, Donald Sultan and Karl Springer.


Today Pascal Las is concentrating on a more personal journey into his art which evokes an emotional response.
His creations speak to people clearly with an aspect of the present while expressing elements from the past.
